For our blended finance strategies we align with the impact methodologies of our development finance partners, while for our impact-focused strategies in developed markets, we apply a proprietary impact framework which covers four broad pillars. This approach guides our investments and contributes to wider industry thinking on impact investing.

Scaling sustainable energy

As one of the first asset managers to use a blended finance funding model, we have invested in the recapitalisation and scaling-up of a company operating wind, solar and hydro projects across an emerging market region.

Healthier harvests ahead

We have invested in a producer of biologicals-based solutions for effective agricultural pest control. By reducing the risks of chemical pesticides, this company generates positive and social impacts through safeguarding biodiversity and human health, meeting the criteria of our private markets impact framework.

Upskilling for success

In seeking projects aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we have invested in a professional training provider designed to aid the successful reintegration of unemployed individuals into the labour market, addressing SDG 4: quality education and SDG 8: decent work and economic growth.
